Frequently Asked Questions

Can I print DL if the smart card hasn't arrived yet?
Yes. Once your DL is issued and appears in the Parivahan database, you can print it through our portal even before receiving the physical smart card. This is especially useful for new drivers waiting for their card to arrive by post.
Does the print show all vehicle class endorsements?
Yes. Our DL print format shows all vehicle class endorsements (MCWG, LMV, HMV, Transport, etc.) with their respective validity dates, just like the official smart card format.
Is the printed DL accepted by traffic police?
The printed DL is based on official Parivahan data. For legal driving purposes, the original smart card DL or the DigiLocker digital DL is required. This print is primarily for reference and interim use while awaiting the original card.
What if the DL number shows 'not found' in the system?
If the DL is not found, it may not have been synced to the central Parivahan database yet (common for newly issued DLs). In such cases, try again after 24-48 hours. Charges are only deducted on successful record retrieval.
Are all Indian states' DLs supported?
Yes. All 28 states and 8 Union Territories are supported. DLs from all Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across India that are registered on the Sarathi/Parivahan platform can be fetched and printed.
